Our industry isn't a science (although some make it feel like that) it's all about opinions, ideas and ultimately people working together. Your edge is always going to be your confidence and how you work with the team to produce something you all love will ultimately depend on everyone's confidence.
It takes months or even years to build that confident swagger and only minutes to squash and we all have a responsibility for building that feeling in our colleagues with simple encouragement. 'Nice one, love it!' will have far more power than you could ever imagine and can boost somebody just when they need it as their inner monologue is screaming 'bollocks!'.
Language matters and in the cut and thrust of the work day, it's all too easy to chuck out those negative "Thrush Squashing' vibes as you feel the pressure and your own confidence tumbles.
Just take a minute and try to spread some positivity, even when your day is a whole bag of ocelot plop and you'll find your investment returned, feeding that wee confidence thrush and making you soar.
